Monroe County Water System Customers Urged to Conserve Water by Watering Outdoor Plants Only Between 4 p.m. and 10 a.m.

Due to extreme heat and dry conditions expected during the next several weeks, Monroe County’s water system management firm, H2O Innovation, is urging Monroe County citizens to conserve water just as City of Forsyth citizens are being asked to do.

Please adhere to the following requests if you receive water from the Monroe County Water System.

As requested by H2O Innovation, county water system customers may water outdoors for the purposes of planting, growing, managing, or maintaining ground cover, trees, shrubs, or other plants only between the hours of 4 p.m. and 10 a.m.

As requested by H2O Innovation, outdoor water used by county water system customers for any purposes other than watering plants, such as power washing or washing cars, is restricted to an odd/even watering schedule. Odd-numbered addresses can water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Even-numbered addresses can water on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter.  We will update you if our water conservation measures change in the coming days and weeks.
