Help Clean Up Monroe County on Saturday, March 5

IMPORTANT REMINDER!!  Tomorrow (Sat., March 5) is Clean-Up Day in Monroe County.  Help keep our beautiful county clean by picking up trash at various locations.

Inside the Forsyth city limits, Tom Perry’s Beautify Forsyth group will meet in the Forsyth City Hall parking lot at 10 a.m. to clean up the city streets in advance of next weekend’s Forsythia Festival.

In Bolingbroke, the Reporter’s Bolingbroke correspondent, Sloan Oliver, will be leading the way beginning at 9 a.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church on Rivoli Road.

In High Falls, local resident Joe Reed will be leading volunteers beginning at 9 a.m. at Buck Creek Market on High Falls Road.

In Juliette, volunteers will gather at 9 a.m. at the Juliette Fire Station on McCrackin Street.

In Culloden, volunteers will gather at 9 a.m. at the Culloden City Hall on College Street.

Citizens are also encouraged to adopt a stretch of highway near their own homes to clean up. Contact the Monroe County Road Department at 478-994-7029 for more information on adopting a road.
