At 3:27 a.m., Monroe County 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call about a house fire on Old Zebulon Road.
Monroe County Fire Department units responded and arrived on scene at 3:40 a.m. at which point they found a single story, brick structure with heavy fire involvement. Shortly after, firefighters located two deceased victims inside the home.
The fire is currently being investigated by local and state authorities, including the state fire marshal’s office.
